Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Rainbow Reels (“the service”), operated from the United Kingdom. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

We write these in plain English where we can. They're still a legal contract — if anything is unclear, email us at hello@rainbowreels.io before ordering.

Rainbow Reels creates AI-generated pet memorial tributes from photographs you upload. We currently offer two products:

• Rainbow Portrait — a single high-resolution AI portrait of your pet in a scene you select. £4.99.
• Rainbow Reel — a 12-second cinematic tribute video featuring your pet in a scene you select, with background music and an optional on-screen message. £14.99.

Prices include UK VAT where applicable. Taxes outside the UK are handled by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy) as the merchant of record.

We aim to deliver your tribute within 30 minutes of payment. In practice generation usually completes within a few minutes. You will receive:

• An email with a download link when your tribute is ready
• Access to the finished tribute via your order page and (if you signed in) your dashboard

Download links remain available for 12 months from the date of delivery. Download your tribute to your own device to keep it permanently.

Every tribute is a bespoke, personalised digital good made from photos and choices unique to you. Once the generation process has started, orders cannot be cancelled, refunded, or revised.

This is permitted under UK law: Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 exempts goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised from the usual 14-day cancellation right.

Before you pay, please:

• Upload clear, well-lit reference photos that show your pet accurately
• Double-check your chosen template and any on-screen message
• Make sure the pet's species and breed are correct

If the service fails to deliver a tribute at all (for example, our pipeline cannot complete the order due to a technical fault on our side), we will issue a full refund. This doesn't apply to dissatisfaction with the creative output — AI generation is inherently variable and each tribute is one-of-a-kind.

You keep ownership of every photo you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to:

• Store your photos temporarily while we generate your tribute
• Send them to our AI generation partners (listed in our Privacy Policy) to produce your tribute
• Deliver the finished tribute to you

We do not use your photos to train AI models, sell them, or share them for any purpose outside your order.

The tribute we create for you is yours for personal use — display it, share it with friends and family, print it, keep it forever. For commercial use (selling merchandise, using in paid advertising, etc.) please email us — we're happy to discuss.

You agree not to:

• Upload photos of pets that aren't yours without permission of the owner
• Upload photos of people, or attempt to generate likenesses of humans
• Submit on-screen messages that are unlawful, threatening, offensive, or that infringe another person's rights
• Attempt to misuse the service — abuse, automated scraping, reverse-engineering the pipeline, or breaking security controls

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that breaches these rules. In clear-cut cases of abuse, refunds may be withheld.

Rainbow Reels uses generative AI. AI output is inherently variable — each tribute is unique and minor imperfections are part of the creative process. We do our best to preserve your pet's likeness and to produce a result you'll treasure, but we can't guarantee an identical reproduction of any specific photograph.

By ordering you acknowledge that you understand the nature of AI generation and accept that the output represents an AI's interpretation of your pet, crafted with care.

We take reasonable care to deliver a quality service. Where we're legally allowed to limit liability, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid for the order in question.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter where doing so would be unlawful under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We may improve or change the service over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll communicate it by email (if you've placed an order) and by updating the “Last updated” date at the top. Changes only apply to orders placed after the updated date.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except that if you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country.
